Happy One Year, Mi Amor!!

Monday, September 29th, Alex and I celebrated our one-year anniversary! Both of us had planned to do something special for the other, but the week before we decided that with the lack of funds and the stress of all these big changes taking place, we'd just do something simple and relaxing. We spent the day as a family and then after Arabella went to sleep, the two of us made a romantic dinner together. We opened a bottle of wine from our wedding and got drunk off of one glass! We are now officially lightweights.
After dinner we talked about our life and our dreams and then we danced like circus performers to "The Wine Song" by The Cat Empire. For a night completely improvised, it was spectacular!

I LOVE your hair like that! It's so super cute! I got my bangs cut again too. All these miles apart and we still manage to be "twins!"

Now... about your shoes... hehe ;)

I love my shoes. I traveled in them all over Europe. The image-conscious Valencianos don't like them either, but I don't like their cheap-looking 80's style. So we learn to co-exist and create a world where old worn-out shoes and plastic accessories can still be friends. :-)

This is one of the many reasons why I love you soooo much. You could co-exist with a troll if you needed to. Not sure why I chose troll... but you get what I'm sayin' ;) When you're here - you, me, your Birkenstocks and my UGGS...we'll have a party. We can invite Merry and her Crocs too if we want! And maybe Jenny has some nerdy rain boots or something... :)

I'll have to pull out my crocs and clean them for this party!!!

My rain boots are NOT nerdy--they are brown with white polka dots!! :o) And I couldn't live without my black Dansko clogs. Can't wait for the party!

Sarah--your hair is adorable. You remind me a lot of your mom now.
